WHAT WE DO

Engineering For Infrastructure PLLC specializes in electrical engineering consulting and design. We have experience doing small and large scale projects in transportation, buildings, and lighting in the horizontal and vertical construction space.  Areas of expertise include electrical design focusing on electrical distribution, equipment specifications, and lighting in the following areas:

  • Parks and public spaces – lighting, site power connections and security systems 
  • Building upgrades and tenant improvements
  • Property site development for exterior electrical/communication infrastructure
  • Streetscape and roadway improvements including parking lots and street lighting
  • Electric vehicle charging infrastructure
  • Specialized electrical infrastructure for marina and ferry environments

We have experience working with many public agencies including New York City/State Department Of Transportation,  Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Long Island Railroad, New York City Transit, Denver Parks and Recreation, City and County of Denver, University of Colorado, among many others.

Looking for support on your construction project? Some typical services we provide:

  • Development of electrical construction drawings from a licensed Professional Engineer (NY, CO, TX, CA, FL)
  • Electrical equipment fit-out and specifications (new construction or retro-fit)
  • Cable, conduit and equipment sizing and protection
  • Site electrical utility layout and infrastructure with coordination with the local utility company as required
  • Engineering calculations (e.g., short circuit, arc flash, cable ampacity, etc.) using industry standard software
  • Interior and exterior lighting design via photometric analysis
  • Design compliance in accordance with the National Electric Code (NFPA 70) and/or National Electric Safety Code (ANSI Standard C2), and adherence to industry standards such as Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and Illumination Engineering Society (IES)
  • Familiarity with public agency design standards and requirements and local/state county codes
